General erection drawing
of the C-25.
The general erection drawing is a composite of the subassembly drawings
for the locomotive -- frame, boiler, cab, running gear and valve motion,
suspension, etc. The complete CAD file also contains plan and front
elevations.
I use it to check the fit between related assemblies, as well as to
get an overall idea of whether the engine matches the drawings and photographs
I am working from. As the subassembly drawings are completed, the
general erection drawing evolves, too.
