             The Freeform Limerick Visited

     1

     the trouble with rhyme and the problem with reason

     is that following them is akin to treason

     where sanity is fated

     to be feared and hated

     in this land where i'm perennially out of season


     2

     if some of us were as smart as we think we are

     we would not think we were smart as we are, not by far

     but the ego is so punctual

     in the land of intellectual

     that we never take time to think about our thoughts (we know who we are)
