Off the Cuff (On the Fly)

 in a flash, it came by email
 with an offer of reward
 to coax me from hiding
 so craftily in plain sight

 i pondered for long seconds
 then reflected yet again
 this promise of vast riches
 far beneath my wildest dreams

 exchange for so many letters
 thus forming words, a poem
 dancing upon so many lines
 but within exacting limits

 a box for bound creativity
 one ring circus of compromise
 then jump through stifling hoop
 ah, be still my art...
