Bollock Pouch Gallery
The name "Bollock Pouch" comes from the many middle ages illuminations I have found showing a bullock dagger
or knife between the girdle, or belt, straps of medieval pouches and purses.
This theme is mirrored in the two small draw string bags on the front of the
pouch. This historical
belt pouch is also detailed by the "Museum of London's Dress Accessories - Medieval Finds From Excavations in London," as one of the types of leather purse with flaps.
A similar pouch is described and show in "Leather and Leatherworking in
Anglo-Scandinavian Medieval York." This pouch is often shown being worn by
noblemen, and merchants. The body of the pouch (not including belt loops) measures 8 1/2 inches wide by 6 1/2 inches high, will accommodate a full checkbook and more, and fits on a 2 1/2 inch belt.
Plain in Honey Brown Closed from a 1 1/2 inch Belt Note the two
satchels on the front of the pouch $50.
I can not promise or guarantee shades of color or patterns in the leather and texture. I will use the best material possible to
maintain the look, hand, and color of each pouch shown. The pouch you receive may vary from the pouches shown!
