How To Take Measurements:

Some Guidelines:
1. Have a friend take the measurements. Never do it yourself.
2. Use a cloth tape measure. Never pin the metal tab to the floor if it is part of the first inch.
3. Measure to the larger 1/8th of an inch.

ow To Trace Your Feet.
1. Place your foot on a piece of paper on a flat surface.
2. Trace your foot making your line where the foot touches the paper but no more than 45 degree lean on the pencil.
3. Trace a second line around the toe area with the pencil straight up and down. This line should not match the first.
4. Feet are often different shapes and sizes, measure and trace both.

The Measurements (a description).

B. Measures your instep. Measure from the floor over the top of your foot at the nook of your foot (the spot where your foot ends and leg begins) and back down to the floor in an upside down U shape. Make sure the U shape is 90 degrees or perpendicular to the floor.

C. Measures the ball of your foot. Measure from the floor over the top of your foot at the widest point of your foot on the tracing you took. Do not worry if your measurement is not exactly straight across or 90 degrees, feet vary measure from wide point on the right to wide point on the left.

E. This is the circumference of your ankle from the bottom of the heal to the nook (the spot where your foot ends and leg begins) and then back down to the heal. Measure all the way around. Hold one end of your tape to the nook and wrap it around the heel and back up to the nook. This is the most important measurement when ordering boots. If this measurement is wrong, your boots will not fit well or worst case they will not fit at all.

F. Is the height you want your boots measured from the top or nook of your foot.  SCA boots are standard height of 10 inches. If you want your boot height to be different from the standard height than measure from the nook (the spot where your foot ends and leg begins) to the spot on your let you want the boot to go.  The maximum this number can be is 16.  For taller boots you must order Cavalier Boots.

G. Is the height at which your calf is the most largest in circumference. Much like the F measurement, from your nook of your foot to the height of the widest point of your calf.

H. Is the circumference of your calf where it is largest in circumference.  Measure all the way around your calf.

I. This is the measurement of the circumference of your leg at the F measurement.   This is the circumference of your leg at the height of 10 inches up your leg from the nook (the spot where your foot ends and your leg begins).  If your F measurement or the height you choose is different then 10, take the measurement at the height you choose.
