ABOUT "cavlon99"

cavlon99 is our ebay identity, reflecting the fact that we started using ebay in 1999.  We otherwise do business as CAVLON Associates div. of HomeHearts and HomeHearts.  We have a wide variety of interests as is reflected in the diverse collection of items in our auctions.  The things we sell are primarily surplus to our current project needs and desires.  These items maybe new, unused, virtually new, slightly used, excellent used, good used, used functional or non-functional parts-only items.  Much of what we list we have not had time to use and have no experience with.  Some of the items we know virtually nothing about and may be guessing as to what they are.  Most items were obtained because at one time they looked interesting and we thought we might have fun investigating them or trying to use them (or part of them) in one of our projects.  Many items come from local industrial and government laboratory surplus disposal.  While we would like to check out the functionality of everything, we often find we just don't have the time to get around to it.  We have found that the odds seem to run that most things are either functional or can be relatively easily fixed unless they are obviously damaged.

Our diverse interests range from electrical, electronics, computers to mechanical, machines, hydraulics, pneumatics, material handling, robotics, automation and beyond.

We have far more items than we have had time to list.  We do not have an inventory list as such.  The best thing to do is check out Ebay store and its categories at

eBay Store - cavlon99 Industrial Lab Surplus Test Measurement Equipment, Industrial Electrical Parts, Electronic Parts Assemblies

You can do a store search which only looks at the stuff we have.  Our categories appear under the "Store Search" on the left-hand side.  At the time of this update, we have a bit more than 1300 items in our ebay store.

Some of the categories of industrial things that are surplus to our current interests are below: (Clicking on links below will take you to a page about that topic that will lead you to more detailed links and listings.)  We are currently just beginning to build this listing so you will likely find the content rather sparse--keep checking back as we will be adding items on an ongoing basis--bookmark this page so you can come back to it when you need something we might have.  The fact that there are no links does not mean we don't have anything--it just means we have not had time to link yet.  We don't expect that this will ever be completely current or up-to-date--there will always be items we have that are not listed--and some listed items will no longer be available.   Items in this listing may or may not appear on ebay or other auction sites from time-to-time. You will have to contact us to make an offer on items listed that are of interest--make sure to copy and paste the item URL so we can see for sure what you are interested in.

(Pardon the strange way things are organized--just reflects one tech types way of thinking on one particular day.)

We can be contacted directly at cavlon@nmia.com.  We usually check e-mail several times a day during the week unless traveling--then once per day if access is available.  Don't expect much from us Friday afternoon through Monday morning as this is when we are usually out collecting new stuff and catching up on facilities and administrative tasks (we try to reserve Sundays as a time for spiritual, mental, physical and family renewal).

We generally have far to much to do to be able to sit around and watch our auctions end.  Likewise, we put auctions up whenever we get a chance without regard to when the auctions will end.  This has two implications for bidders.  1) We probably won't be around toward the end of an auction so make sure you ask any questions well in advance of the last day.  2)You may not be available when an auction ends to make use of E-bay's proxy bidding function and enter the maximum you are will to go on an item well before the end of the auction.

Best regards and good luck bidding.
