Socorro is located about 75 miles south of Albuquerque, at an elevation of just over 4500 feet. New Mexico Tech is on the west side of town, in the shadow of the Socorro Mountains. The campus has sweeping lawns, large shade trees, and plenty of outdoor spaces to jam. The main gym has a sprung wood floor that's great for dancing.
