[2829] Was an encomendero when he led soldiers sent to Zuni to avenge the death of Father Letrado. Religious-hating Governor Eulate reprehended Tomas and another officer in 1626 for singing in the Santa Fe church choir. In 1636 he had risen to the rank of sargento mayor, when he gave is age as forty-two. His origin is not known
