[1978] Was in command of a squad which was attacked by the Santa Clara Indians on August 9 or 10. He and five soldiers escaped and subsequently took part in the defense of Santa Fe. Meanwhile, his wife and children were reported killed, and his son, Francisco, "el mozo" was slain at Galisteo. Two year later a captured Indian deposed that he has seen Franciscan Dominguez' nude body out on a field, her head bashed in,. and a very small infant dead at her feet.

The conveyance was for house and land. Francisco appeared at the conveyance, although Bancroft says that Francisco Anaya Almazan was drowned in hte Rio del Norte, a year before the date of
the deed in 1697. Bancroft was in error.

Passed muster on foot with his personal arms. He was robbed by the enemy, who killed his wife, and three other persons, children, relatives and servants. Nothing remains to him except that stated above.
