Amanda is listed in the 1910 census, age 5, in her parents home in Embudo precinct 1 district 156, page 7, house #135 on 26 Apr 1910. In the 1920 census she is still at home, going to school, can read but not write and cannot speak English.
Amanda did a lot of geneaology.
The family home where she was born was in Canyoncito, Embudo/Dixon, NM.
She died at home in Dixon. Her funeral card from Lujan's Funeral home had this poem:
Come with me
God saw that she was getting tired, and a cure was not to be, so He put His arms around her and whispered, "come with Me." With tearful eyes we watched her suffer and saw her fade away; although we loved her dearly, we could not make her stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best. We love you.
