In 1998 she was featured in a display at the Palace of the Governors Museum in Santa Fe.
[3035] She acquired large holdings which became known as Rancho de San Antonio that were passed to her children at her death. She and her heirs encroached on lands of the San Ildefonso pueblo lands which resulted in a long running law suit, apparently still not completely settled. The western boundary of her land was the Arroyo San Antonio and the eastern boundary was the Arroyo del Rancho, a line common to the western boundary of the lands of Ignacio Roybal, as adjudicated in settlement of her will in 1763. The east boundary of the Roybal property was at the east boundary of San Ildefonso pueblo grant patented by the US congress in 1864, an act which adsorbed the homes of the Lujan and Roybal heirs. The north and south boundaries of neither piece of property were not adjudicated. In addition to her livestock business she built a sizable trade with merchants in Guadalupe del Paso del Norte and Chihuahua.

[3040] "Early in the 1700s there appears the mysterious family of Gómez del Castillo, represented by the three: Francisco, Juan and Louisa. All three were adults by 1732, they were sometimes called by the name Luján, but mostly by Gómez del Castillo, a name which became prominent. The mystery arises, not from the mere fact of the illegitimacy, but because there was no other Gómez del Castillo family in Nuevo Mexico before or during this time. What seems likely is that Juana Luján had her three children by either Antonio or Bartolome Robledo, sons respectively of Francisco and Bartolome Gómez Robledo. The mother of both Antonio and the younger Bartolome seems to be a Lopez del Castillo woman; for Juana Luján and her children were very close to the family of Igacio Roybal, whose wife was a Gómez Robledo."
