His age comes from the 1880 census. Teodoro married twice, the first time to Maria Virginia Apodaca in 1849 and then Maria Simona Benavidez in 1850, a year and a half later.
Teodoro's marriage is listed on page 87 in the publication New Mexico Marriages, San Miguel del Bado Church, 12 November 1829 to 10 November 1878 and published by the New Mexico Genealogical Society.. Also his information on his marriage to Maria Virginia comes from Deligencias y Casamentios de San Miguel del Bado, 1802 - 1865, page 138.
An item of interest is that in the 1880 census he and his family are listed twice, once as Martin' in "precinct 22" and once as Martinez in "La Jolla Larga", each a separate place but both in San Miguel County New Mexico. It is my guess that the Martin entry in precinct 22 is his entry and the one in Jolla Larga was probably made by his daughter Climaca whom he was listed as living next door to.
On August 6, 1865 Teodoro and Simona baptized Maria Librada Valdez, daughter of Teodoro Valdez and Maria Refugio Lucero in Sapello, New Mexico. Reference page 252 of the book New Mexico Baptisms, Sapello, Our Lady of Guadalupe, January 1861 to December 1882, published by the New Mexico Genealogical Research Center of New Mexico.
On August 27, 1872 Teodoro and Simona baptized Justo Romero in Sapello, New Mexico. Reference page 207 of the book New Mexico Baptisms, Sapello, Our Lady of Guadalupe, January 1861 to December 1882, published by the New Mexico Genealogical Research Center of New Mexico.
Reference page 257 of the publication New Mexico Baptisms, La Junta (Watrous) August 1873 to September 1905 published by the Hispanic Genealogical Research Center of New Mexico. On June 3rd of 1895 Teodoro and Simona baptized Marcelino Martinez, their grandson and the son of Jose Ines Martinez and Paz Herrera of La Junta.
