Well, here is a little bit of information for you from the 1870 Census, San Miguel County, Puerto de Luna (near Las "Vegas, NM), page 178
Ezequiel, age 36, b. NM
Dolores, age 27, b. NM
Matilde, age 11, male, b. NM
Isaac, age 8, male, b. NM
Perfecto, age 5, male, b. NM
Celestino, age 2, male, b. NM
1920 census lists Great Grandpa Isaac as a fifty-nine year old who could read and write and is listed as a merchant partner of a General Store. His "wife" is Lucinda G. age 44 who can't read. The children in the home are Olympia, Isyia, Adelina, Isaac, Paula, Elisia, and Sebero. Two doors down, Lee Sandoval age 23, is listed as a salesman in retail merchandise, is married to 19 year old Millie M. with Patrick C. and Victoria M. in the house along with 14 year old Petra Montoya, Sister in Law.
Note: The spelling of the names in the 1920 census reflects the way the census taker understood what was presented to him. Grandpa Eliasero started using "Lee" and Grandma Melicia was using Millie. "
Church Records indicate: - Isaac was baptised in May 1863 and Celestino was baptised in Sept. 1869. Great Grandpa Isaac was married to Victoriana in 1885.
Grandpa Isaac was married to Lucinda G. Spitz on October 6, 1917 in Alamogordo, New Mexico. Reference: Ft. Sumner, New Mexico County Courthouse, Book 1, Page 5 - Whether they had children or not I'm not sure. I knew the Spitz family in Clovis and I (Pat Sandoval, Jr.) was always told that we were related to Gayle Spitz who I went to school with.

"SANDOVAL, ISAAC
Isaac Sandoval was married to Victoria Griego at Fort Sumner, New Mexico. Most of their children were born in Fort Sumner or at the Sandoval ranch house on the west side of Red Lake near La Lande, New Mexico. Isaac owned and operated a large ranch which consisted of over a thousand acres around Red Lake.
When De Back County formed, Isaac was appointed the first treasurer. Isaac also owned a saloon at Fort Sumner. The fact that he owned a sallon is amusing because Isaac did not drink alcoholic beverages..
One of Isaac's brothers, Celestino Sandoval, was a life-long resident of Fort Sumner. Victoria's brother, Nestor Griego, was also a long time resident of Fort Sumner.
Isaac Sandoval also had a ranch where old Fort Sumner is now and another ranch on Taiban Creek. Isaac and his family enjoyed ranching until the death of his wife, Victoria, in 1916. The death of his wife and the freezing
winter of 1917, which resulted in the loss of most of his stock, are the reasons that Isaac sold out and quit ranching. In 1918 he moved to Clovis, New Mexico, where all of his sons started working for the Santa Fe railroad.
Isaac and Victoria Sandoval had six sons and six daughters. Isaac had one daughter, Rumaldita, by a previous marriage. The children in the Isaac Sandoval family are: Rumaldita b. 188_ - d. 1972; Enrique b. 1891 - d.
1975; Maggie b. 1893; Lee b. 1895 - d. 1958; Delores "Dolly" b. 1898 - d. 1942; Cosme "Bill" b. 1899; Olympia "Ollie" b. 1900 - d. 1971; Eszequiel "Zeke" b. 1902 - d. 1963; Lena b. 1905 - d. 1965; Paula b. 1907; Isaac Jr. b. 1909: - d. 1978; Elizabeth "Licha" b. 1912; and Severo "Sandy" b. 1913. The Sandoval children went to school at La Lande. Enrique went to college at Hereford, Texas and Lee attended college at Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Isaac Sandoval was born in 1862 at Galisto, New Mexico and he died in 1933. Victoria, his wife, was born in 1874 at Fort Sumner and she died in 1916. Isaac and Victoria are both buried in the cemetary at the original Fort Sumner."
