[46912] Some said that he had run with a band of outlaws in his younger days and had acquired some amount of money as a result. He was also said to have shot a group of Indians some where around the Carlisle or East Camp mines in New Mexico, northeast of Duncan, Arizona. The circumstances for his action and the reason he shot them is not known.
[46916] The farm and brick house on it were approximately 3 miles from Duncan on the Virden road, very near the Arizona-New Mexico state line. Alexander bought the farm from the Harry Day family sometime between 1912 and 1914. Sandra Day O'Conner, later U.S. Supreme Court Justice, was the daughter of Harry. The farm was later purchased by the Walter Foster family, Vinita Foster Brooks was Walter's daughter. Margaret Girard Aker and Alice Stewart Romney were born in that house. This does not agree with information in Willa Steward Morris' bible, which says Alice was born in New Mexico, but maybe she thougth the farm was in New Mexico
[46913] They lived near Archicoochi Post Office, the name later changed to Tricham, near the Georgia-Alabama border. The county seat was Weedowe, Alabama.
