Altar Servers

Altar Servers serve at Mass. They carry the processional cross during the entrance and recessional, hold the sacramentary for the priest, help receive the gifts at the offertory, bring over the vessals at the offertory.

Usually the requirements for being an altar server are that the child is 10 years and older and has received his/her First Communion.
