Antioch Ministry

WHAT IS IT?

The Antioch Ministry is something like a small "prayer group" or a large "little parish". It is a community of Christians for whom Bible study and Eucharistic Adoration are important. It recognizes the action of the Holy Spirit in renewing the Church and our lives.

WHAT DOES ANTIOCH DO?

The Antioch Community has two goals:
  • To build a loving, Christ-centered community of believers who share their faith with one another.
  • To share this faith with Catholics in other parishes, by conducting weekend retreats (Antioch Weekends) at their church.

The first goal is accomplished by weekly meetings of prayer, singing, sharing, Bible study, and other teachings. There are other occasional activities, like cook-outs and a Good Friday pilgrimage walk to Chimayo.

The second goal is accomplished at various churches around New Mexico at weekend retreats (Antioch Weekends). Usually there are two to five retreats a year.

    WHAT IS AN ANTIOCH WEEKEND?

The Antioch Weekend is an encounter with the Blessed Trinity. It is based on the Apostles' Creed and Catholic tradition, and consists of scripturally-based teachings, discussions, and liturgies, supported by song and prayer.
