Natural Family Planning
is not what society calls "birth control" and it is
not just for women.
NFP allows a couple to cooperate with God in planning their family by
understanding their changing fertility and making mutual decisions based
on that understanding. Fertility becomes a gift to be shared rather than
a problem to be dealt with.
Natural Family Planning (NFP)
refers to the practice of achieving or avoiding pregnancies
according to an informed awareness of a couple's changing
fertility.
The various methods of NFP use one or several natural indicators of fertility
often in a cross checking way. As a result, these methods are highly
effective at both avoiding and achieving pregnancies
works with irregular cycles, after childbirth and through
premenopause.
In fact, since the physiological changes that occur each month are observed and
recorded, medical problems can often be detected in their early
stages, marginal fertility problems can be corrected and pregnancy
achieved.
