Ability to Make Decisions
There were two school dances
this past year where no one danced to the first requests. Those making
requests just wanted to listen and those who wanted to dance were too shy
to make requests. On both occasions, the DJ took control and began choosing
the songs to play and, immediately, the students started dancing immediately.
At several dances, the host told
us the guests would not dance because they were "hard to please." On one
occasion, the host explained that this party was a failure every year and
no one danced. In every instance, the DJ was able to get a large amount
of the guests dancing by the third song. At the end of each event, the
host told our DJ how impressed they were at his professionalism and this
party was considered a success by all of the guests they spoke to.
Our DJ's have never started a
dance late because they arrive early. Two years ago, there was a mix-up
in the time a party was to begin and, because our DJ's arrived early, they
were able to start the party one hour earlier than they had planned to.
Our main DJ can play music, take
requests, run the lights, and entertain the guests in a show better than
many other DJ services' two- or three-DJ shows.
Why should you pay extra for
a second DJ? If it's for pampering, how often do you plan on talking to
the second DJ at your event? If it's to make sure you get your requests
in, why go through a "middle man" when you can deal directly with the one
playing the music? If it's to turn light switches on and off, our DJ can
do both.
Is it worth the extra cost to
have two DJ's entertain your guests when one can do just as good of a job
(if you even want your guests entertained)?
Why pay for a second DJ who spends
most of the gig looking busy? Is the music so disorganized that one DJ
alone can't find certain songs?
