Making an event more enjoyable
At one university and one college
graduation, we were complemented by staff, students, and guests for our
selection of music, which made the graduations more of a celebration
We played popular songs, with
themes of school, learning, and accomplishment prior to the entrance of
the graduates to create a festive environment for the staff and guests
We played the Pomp and Circumstance,
ending the song exactly on time, without having to fade out because the
song wasn't finished
We played celebration music for
the graduates as they exited, and the staff and guests while they mingled.
At the event itself to make the guests laugh
At one outdoor wedding and wedding
reception, it rained while the guests were under the pavilion waiting.
The DJ played a couple of popular songs with the word "rain" in them. When
the clouds broke and the rain began to stop, the DJ played songs like "Here
Comes the Sun." Many guests laughed and later told the DJ they liked her
personal touch, which made a restive situation bearable.
At one dance, a couple was dancing
silly and the guests were all on the outside of the dance floor watching
and clapping for them. After the song, the DJ dedicated Patsy Clines' "Crazy"
to them. Everyone laughed and many got up and danced. Many later thanked
the DJ for being so much fun during the dance and being a part of the celebration,
instead of being an outsider just playing music.
To be add so much to a video or slide performance
We have gotten great praise for
our creativity in school slide shows, home movies transferred to videos,
school videos, sports videos, etc. All productions that were done for a
grade, received an A+.
