Daniel Patrick Reed was born May 4, 1981 at the army installation in Seoul, Korea. We (his parents) were stationed at Osan Air Base, about an hour south of Seoul by ambulance (which is how the military took his laboring mom from the air base clinic to the hospital at the army installation).
He spent the next 9 or 10 years of his life, following his dad and mom around, first to San Angelo, TX later in 1981, to Provo, UT in 1982, (where dad finished his schooling at BYU and where his little sister, Lauren, was born), to Midland, TX in 1985 (where he started school), to El Paso, TX about 1989, to Artesia, NM about 1990, and to Albuquerque, NM in 1991.
Danny did very well in business classes in high school and was Accounting Student of the Year one year. He also particpated in Business Professionals of America (BPA) competitions, taking 1st Place in New Mexico Business Math competitions twice (in 97-98 and 98-99) and placing 6th in the National Business Math competition in the 1997-1998 shool year. He was active in scouting obtaining the Eagle Scout award.
While in high school, Danny worked at Century 24 Theaters (one of the perks was that we were able to see a number of 1st run movies for free) and at Toys R Us.
He attended La Cueva High School in Albuquerque, graduating in May, 1999.
Danny has just started the Fall Semester at BYU where he is planning to major in Business (where I am sure he will study hard, play hard and do very well). Things bode well for him--catch him if you can.
