THINGS I LIKE (SOME OF THEM A LOT)
Television (precious little time for it--only 2 shows consistently--plus 1 now *sigh*):
Chess -- No, I'm not very good at it, but find it interesting and fun to watch those who are really, really good at it. If you are interested in it as a sport, you can get comprehensive interanational news at The Week in Chess, a long with links to myriads of good sites.
Music -- I like just about everything. Links to come
StarWars -- Been a fan since day one. I am not as super fanatical as some (though I did pay full price to see the first Star Wars move some 10 or 15 times), but I still get a kick out of it. Official site here -- Star Wars: Welcome to the Official Web Site with coverage on the original trilogy and
Episode I -- Okay, I admit it. I was not enthusiastic about the "prequel". I chided my son for so eagerly awaiting its coming. I did not go see it for months after it came out. When I finally did see it, it was amazing. Not only did it have special effects that were phenominal, not only did it have such actors as Liam Neeson (nominated for Oscar for role of Oskar Schindler in Schindler's List), Ewan McGregor (Emma, Shallow Grave) and Natalie Portman (What's so special about Amidala? Come and see.. natalie, but the story is right up my alley. A part of the Official site is dedicated to Episode I Star Wars: Episode I - Production Features
I admit I eagerly await Episode II. I am not alone...
