Heres a fun idea! Combine the Bird
Coasters and Birdhouse Trivet. Add cute buttons to bottom edge
of trivet and add loops to coasters to hang them on the trivet
for a cute and practical wallhanging. |

Tip for small projects:
Instead of binding the edges of
your coaster, trivet, or even table runner the traditional way,
cut your backing fabric leaving a generous inch of fabric around.
After you have quilted your project trim the batting as you would
usually do but trim the backing to 1 inch around top piece. You
can then simply
flip this fabric to the front, fold under and bind the edge.
Of course you will want to use a fabric for the backing that
will work as the binding as well |
