Quilters Online Resource is proud to announce that the QORC list is back. The purpose of the list is to create a forum for sharing ideas, knowledge, and techniques for quilters. The Quilters Online Resource website was built on the idea of sharing information, techniques, and resources with quilters online and we hope with the creation of our mail list to further expand that goal.
QORC also has its own website that is just for members of the list. We will have special patterns and goodies just for the QORC list members.
The words next to QORC above state what this list is all about.
Quilting - The main reason for the list to share knowledge and ideas with other quilters. No matter if you have been quilting for years or just starting out we hope to create a forum that all levels of quilters will find useful.
Open Hearts and Minds - We hope to create a list in which we can share openly our knowledge and expertise in quilting, and also one in which we can learn to look at new ideas.
Respect - A little of this can go a long way. This is one area we feel very strongly about. Its one of those things in life that unless its given it will not be received.
Community - Something that quilters seem to excel in and though the list is about quilting its something that will always be a part of every quilt list.
The mail list will differ from others in a few ways. One it will come out in digest form only. In this way no one will be overcome with a mailbox filled with posts. Although the mail list will be automated as far as mailing purposes it will remain somewhat hand maintained. In this way we can guarantee that you will not be receiving any posts that are totally inappropriate such as the pornographic pictures that have shown up on some lists, or posts that are meant to hurt or threaten another member of the list.
