Noahs Ark #83662 The Story of the Christmas Stocking

The real Saint Nicholas, alias Santa Claus, was born in Asia Minor in 280 A.D.. Nicholas lost his parents when he was very young and decided to dedicate his life to God. After moving to Myra and being appointed a bishop, he used the considerable wealth he had inherited from his parents to help the poor. One nobleman in Myra, a good man, had lost his money and was unable to furnish any of his three daughters with a dowry. As each girl reached marriageable age, Nicholas went to the house at night and tossed a bag of gold through the window. The coincidence has give rise to the modern custom of hanging up stockings on Christmas Eve.
