Head of the Virgin from Michelangelo's Pieta

Michelangelo carved the pieta in 1499 at the age of 24.

The Pieta is considered the most beautiful sculpture in existence. It is also the most revered demonstration of Christian piety.

In 1999, the world will celebrate the 500th anniversary of the statue's "birth." The Vatican Museums and the Metropolitan Museum of Art have authorized the St. Bernadette Institute of Art to offer for sale this exquisate HEAD OF THE VIRGIN to our friends throughout the United States.

This Madonna perfectly reflects the genius of the artist, and is reproduced in refined Carra marble, bonded with polymer resin. It is flat on the back and is meant to hang on the wall.

This sculpture would make an inspiring gift for your church, home or school.
