This is a picture I took on the evening of
Tuesday March 26, 1996 at about 9:10pm
Mountain Standard Time from my backyard in
Albuquerque, New Mexico. I used a Pentax
K-1000 35mm camera using a 50mm focal
length lens. Because of the conditions, a
time exposure was required. Since I took
about 3 pictures using various time
exposure lengths, I do not remember if
this was my 2 minute, 3 minute, or 5
minute exposure. There was a combo of
moon light and city light pollution that
evening, so that is why the sky looks
bright behind the comet. If it had been a
moonless evening, I think the picture
would have turned out much sharper and
better (i.e. better detail of the comet's
tail).
