 FOR EUROPEANs !

I fetched Robert's excellent program from micros.hensa.ac.uk yesterday
  (it is /mirrors/simtel/msdos/satelite/satfind2.zip)

It is actually written for North America, but I assume (since there is no
source supplied) that it calculates _relative_ so it should work everywhere!
By trial and error, trying to get the book values for Astra and Thor, It
worked out immediately (that is, the values it gives for Kopernicus, Astra,
Intelsat 601, Intelsat 702 and TV-Sat correspond with those I was given when
  I did my site survey)

o You enter your home Longitude as
      degrees <comma> minutes <comma> seconds.

Enter ALL THREE as -nn if you are East of Greenwich :
          eg : 9 deg 50 min 30 sec EAST as -9,-50,-30

o You need to add the satellites in the eastern hemisphere into the database.
They will have NEGATIVE values in satellit.lis, in the form
degrees with decimal part <comma> Text to identify the satellite

          eg : -19.2,ASTRA ()
                -5,SIRIUS ()

   My modified satellit.lis follows.
You will have to add the <ctrl-Z> at the end of the list with your editor.

Note that Robert uses (C) and (Ku) to indicate the Band of the satellite
transmissions. I have not entered these!
