It's very important to let your telescope cool down (or in some cases, warm up) to the temperature outside, before you use it. This usually takes about an hour. If you don't let the telescope reach the ambient temperature it won't cause any damage, but turbulence inside the scope's body will cause the view to be quite fuzzy.
