Futaba 9C Glider Programming.

How can I set up a motorized glider with the throttle control on a slider rather than on a stick? I still want Butterfly on the throttle stick want the motor speed on a slider.

1. You will plug the electronic motor controller into the channel three pins of the receiver. In this example, the motor will be controlled by the left slider, Vr-D.

2. PMIX-4 is the essential bit of programming in this setup. It mixes in negative 100% airbrake back into itself. PMIX4 "deactivates" the throttle stick with respect to the channel three pins on the receiver. The mix should always be on.

3. PMIX-5 outputs the left slider, Vr-D, to the channel three pins on the receiver. These are shown in yellow on the spreadsheet.

4. The "Butterfly" mix will work normally from SW-A and the throttle stick.

5.  If you are getting short of mixes, you can also use one of the “curve” or “step” mixes (PMI-6, or PMIX-7) to deactivate the throttle stick.
