The congregation called Pastor John C. Heffelfinger, Jr., on April 27, 1997. He accepted the call and was installed on July 27, 1997. When he received the call, Pastor John responded, "Praise the Lord!" When he accepted the call, Redeemer responded, "Thanks be to God!"
