Cerro Vidal is one of the large Late Archaic cerros de trincheras
in western Chihuahua. The features shown in this photograph cover
an area 300 meters by 160 meters in size. Detailed maps of this
site and Cerro Juanaqueña have been prepared using a combination
of terrestrial mapping and aerial photo interpretation. The aerial
photographs taken by Baker Aerial Photography provided an overall
perspective and allowed recognition of details which were not
apparent to archeologists working on the ground.
